Mission

The Clarion University Center for Wellness promotes the holistic well-being of our students and enhances their university experience by providing health and counseling services, preventative education, and recreational and co-curricular programs through collaboration with others.

The Counseling Services staff offers individual, couple, and group counseling to help students achieve a greater understanding of self; identify and manage a wide range of personal or academic concerns; and make choices that are consistent with their goals.  In addition, we provide informational resources, presentations, and screenings to positively impact students' well-being, promote personal adjustment and growth, and help students gain the skills to be successful at Clarion. 

 

Keeling Health Center has been accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Centers (AAAHC) since 2001.  A highly credentialed staff--including contracted physicians, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses certified in college health--provide specialized student health services.

Health Promotions offers opportunities for students to get involved in improving their own health and the health of their community.  We provide assistance to students who may face specific challenges to their well-being, such as alcohol and drug concerns or sexual assault.  We also offer numerous programs and resources on topics, such as fitness, exercise, and nutrition, that can help you achieve a high level of wellness.
