Mission and Goals

Venango College, as an integral component of Clarion University, is committed to providing students with a high quality educational experience in a personal setting that allows for individualized services and support. Venango College of Clarion University grants two-year, stand-alone, associate degrees in 11 academic disciplines. The college also offers select baccalaureate and master’s degrees and provides students an opportunity to begin any of Clarion University’s 90-plus bachelor’s degree programs. Venango College of Clarion University is home to the university’s School of Nursing and Allied Health and School of Humanities, Sciences and Technology.

Venango College of Clarion University is responsive to the needs of the community and dedicated to developing innovative programs that meet the requirements of the regional population. In addition to its academic degree offerings, Venango College offers 13 certificate programs providing critical job skills training. The college also provides a range of continuing education courses. Special programs have been designed for young children, academically talented high school students who want to start earning college credits, returning adult learners, and older individuals.

To help all individuals excel, trained counselors work with students to assist with the transition to college life, improve learning and study skills, develop a career goal, and plan for success. Venango College of Clarion University also encourages students to be involved in a range of activities and clubs that provide social and leadership opportunities.
