Paul Ramsay, a board certified hypnotist and member of the National Guild of Hypnotists, will perform in the Robert W. Rhoades Center auditorium at Clarion University-Venango Campus on Friday, October 22, at 7 pm. The event is free and open to the public.
After earning bachelor and master's degrees in education at the University of New Hampshire, Ramsey taught high school English before returning to his alma mater to begin a career in student affairs. Whether in the classroom or on campus, his focus was to create opportunities for people to experience transformational change and gain new personal insights, a focus that led him to the practice of hypnotism.
He now performs across the country at colleges, comedy clubs, campgrounds, and for corporate groups, helping people through hypnosis to maximize their personal success. He has performed in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia.
Ramsay believes that hypnotism is more than a way to entertain people. "I believe that being hypnotized can change your life for the better," he says, "even if you're doing it for the very first time on stage and making people laugh. It's fun, but it's also powerful."
