Clarion University–Venango Campus will host dance lessons and performances by Pittsburgh-based performers The Steel Town Stompers and The Rick Matt Project on Friday, April 29, in the Robert W. Rhoades Center gymnasium. The event is free and open to the public. The East Coast Swing, a user-friendly, quickly learnable style of Swing, will be taught from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. followed by an all-out Swing Dance. The Steel City Stompers will also perform the Lindy Hop, a high-energy dance based on the Charleston that was named in honor of the historic transatlantic solo flight of Charles Lindbergh in the 1920s.
