Accessing the Calendar Tool

1. Log into D2L and enter your course.

2. In the Calendar widget on your course homepage, click the Calendar button.

3. You can view the calendar by agenda, day, week, month, or list.

Creating Events

1. Log into D2L and enter your course.

2. In the Calendar widget on your course homepage, click the Calendar button.

3. On the Calendar page, click the New Event button in the toolbar at the top.

4. Enter a title for your event and an optional description.  Then set the start and end dates and times for the event.

Optional: Select attendees or groups if applicable. Enter information about recurrence and restrictions. Enter any useful URLs in the description or custom location field. They will appear as clickable links in the event details view.

Note: You can add and remove content to an event after you have already created it.

Editing Events

1. Log into D2L and enter your course.

2. In the Calendar widget on your course homepage, click the Calendar button.

3. Navigate to the event you want to edit and click on the event. A dialog box will appear. Select Edit.

4. Make any necessary changes to the event's fields, then click Save.

Deleting Events

1. Log into D2L and choose your course.

2. Click on the Calendar icon on the left hand side of the Calendar widget.

3. Click on the event. A dialog box will appear. Select Delete.

4. Click Yes to confirm deletion of the event.

Printing Your Calendar

1. Log into D2L and enter your course.

2. In the Calendar widget on your course homepage, click the Calendar button.

3. On the Calendar page, click the Print button in the toolbar at the top.  Note: Be sure to select the view that you want to print before clicking the Print button.

4. A dialog box will pop up, showing a preview of what your printed calendar will look like.  Click Print at the bottom of the window.

"Quick create" an event

1. Select a course to set it as the current calendar.

2. Click the time interval where you want to create the event in the course.

3. Fill out the event information, select attendees if applicable, and select create.

4. Move to the next course by clicking it to select it as the current calendar, and repeat.
