Department of Humanities and Sciences
The mission of the Department of Humanities and Sciences incorporates three vital components: to provide a quality liberal education experience to stimulate the intellectual development of all university students; to provide a breadth and depth of knowledge and skills appropriate for the majors and minors in the numerous degree programs within the college; and, to improve the quality of life for society through research, service to the campus and surrounding communities, and programming to address the cultural and intellectual needs of the region.
Department of Applied Technology
Launched in 2003 in response to a critical need for specialized training in the region and beyond, the Department of Applied Technology utilizes a creative partnership approach designed to prepare students for a wide range of careers and eventual leadership positions. Under a unique partnership model, students complete general education and business courses at Venango College and the technical component of the degree through licensed, certified, accredited, and/or otherwise approved technical education providers. Graduates receive an Associate of Applied Science degree from Clarion University.
