  • The Lambda Eta Chapter Kappa Delta Pi International Education Honor Society inducted 71 new members, all Clarion University education and library science majors with a 3.2 or higher GPA, Nov. 5 in the Gemmel multipurpose room.  Dr. Sally Sentner and Dr. Peggy Apple, Clarion education faculty members and Kappa Delta Pi officers and co-counselors, conducted the ceremony. Jean McCleary, superintendent of Union School District, was the guest speaker. She encouraged members to take a leadership role in their communities and address challenges facing our educational system.  She shared a motto from one of her training t-shirts, “It’s a hill – get over it!”

  • The Lambda Eta Chapter Kappa Delta Pi International Education Honor Society and the Student Council for Exceptional Children sponsored SmartBoard training for members Nov. 4. Dr. Karl Sprenger, Clarion education faculty member, provided the training.
