The following Clarion University faculty or staff members have received funding for special projects:

  • Dr. Suzanne Boyden, biology, was awarded $4,000 by The Nature Conservancy for her project, “High Allegheny Hemlock Conservation Project.” The performance period is May 19 to Dec. 31, 2013.

  • Leah Magagnotti, Northwest Pennsylvania Rural AIDS Alliance, was awarded $342,200 by Health Resources and Services Administration for her project, “Ryan White Part C Outpatient EIS Program.” The performance period is April 1, 2013, to March 31, 2014.

  • Rhonda McMillen-Toth, TRIO Educational Talent Search, was awarded $361,037  by U.S. Department of Education for program funding from Sept. 1, 2013, through Aug. 31, 2014.

  • Dr. Christopher Reber, Venango College, was awarded $350,000 for his project, “Northern Tier Project: Creating Career Pathways,” by PASSHE. The performance period is through June 30, 2015.

  • Dr. Kevin Roth, Small Business Development Center, was awarded:

    • $420,780 by Pennsylvania Department of Health for his project, “State AIDS 2014,” for the July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014, performance period.

    • $163,827 by Pennsylvania Department of Health for his project, “HOPWA 2014,” for the July 1, 2013, to June 30, 2014, performance period.

    • $680,820 by Pennsylvania Department of Health for his project, “Ryan White 2014,” for the July 1, 2013, to June 30, 2014, performance period.

  • Dr. Bruce Smith, education, was awarded $53,061 by Pennsylvania Department of Education for his project, “Science in Motion.” The performance period was Oct. 1, 2012, to June 30, 2013.
