The Anthropology, Geography, and Earth Science (AGES) Department offers both a bachelors degree in Anthropology in addition to a minor.

Requirements for the Anthropology Degree:

  1. Foreign Language competency exam or 12 hrs Foreign Language Coursework – or the Quantitative core (#2)
  2. Math 221 or Phil311 – 3 cr
    1. Three courses from: ES/GEOG 345; ES/GEOG 400; ES/GEOG 470; ES/GEOG 490
  3. ANTH 221: Humans and Culture; ANTH 213 Intro to Bioanthropology; ANTH 362 History and Methods of Anthropology; ANTH/ENG 380 Language and Culture; 21 Credits in ANTH with 9 credits above the 300 level
  4. GEOG 100 Intro to World Geography – 3cr
  5. SOC 211 Principles of Sociology – 3cr
  6. 15 Credits from Biology, Earth Science, Geography, History, or Sociology

Requirements for the Anthropology Minor:

  1. ANTH 211 Humans and Culture – 3cr
  2. 15 additional credits in ANTH
