Medical Imaging science majors who complete their first two years of general education at Venango College benefit in several ways from the individualized attention they receive.
The small size of classes results in a low student/teacher ratio and provides students the opportunity to work closely with professors in establishing a solid academic foundation upon which to build their future clinical education.

Medical imaging science students also enjoy the full resources made available to them through the School of Nursing and Allied Health including the personalized attention of a dedicated staff that goes out of its way to assist students.
Student success is further augmented by the array of services available. The Learning Support Center offers free tutoring for coursework specific to the BS, Medical Imaging Sciences as well as assistance with study skills. Free student counseling services are also offered and are readily accessible. Support services continue to be available free of charge to medical imaging sciences students in their junior and senior years as they complete their clinical education off campus at affiliated clinical sites.

Diverse activities permit students a high degree of participation that leads to personal enrichment and growth. The Medical Imaging Sciences Club fosters camaraderie among medical imaging science majors while providing unique opportunities to explore the health care arena. Leadership skills that students develop as a result of club, campus, and community involvement position them for success as future health care professionals. Beautiful, new student apartments enhance the medical imaging sciences student experience. Students accepted to UPMC Northwest School of Radiologic Technology may find it convenient to continue residing in the student apartments as they complete their last two years of clinical education.
