The Emerging Scholars Program is an excellent way for your child to get an early start to his or her College career. With increasing tuition costs, and competition for scholarships and admission to Colleges and Universities, students must seek ways to increase their competitiveness. Your child's participation in this program will certainly help them attain admission to the College or University of their choice. While there is no obligation to attend Clarion University, graduates of our program who choose to attend Clarion enjoy several benefits.
Tuition and fees for the 2012-13 academic year are as follows:
| Undergraduate PA Resident | |
| In-State Tuition and Fees |
$ 9,091 |
| Traditional residence hall housing and standard meal plan |
$ 7,186 |
| Total |
$16,277 |
Students who participate in the emerging Scholars program are eligible for university, state, and private funding. A student in good academic standing would be eligible for funding to cover a major portion of their college tuition. Including $10,000 that is available through the Pittsburgh Promise.
Concerns about Safety
Clarion University and the surrounding town take pride in the level of safety that is provided to both students and residents. Students who are enrolled in the Emerging Scholars program are supervised 24 hrs by the program coordinator, and a team of dedicated staff members. Staff of the program can be reach via cell phone at any time through the duration of the program. Residence hall are locked every night to prevent unauthorized access, and police officers regularly patrol the campus.
Parents and guardians who would like to visit their children during the program are encouraged to do so, however we kindly ask that you notify us prior to your arrival.
