National Broadcasting Society

Description

The National Broadcast Society was established in 1943 to emphasize superior scholarship and creative participation in broadcast and corporate production and activity for university students interested in electronic media. Membership in NBS exemplifies excellence of work, demonstraded leadership qualities and service to the organization, the community and the industry.

The National Broadcast Society Chapter at Clarion University was established in 1991 by Professor Allan Larson, we are now in our 20th year of service. We have about 50 members in our chapter, and we are proud of our accomplishments. We were voted most improved chapter at the 2009 NBS regional conference, and we won more media contest awards at the regional 2010 conference than any other university, as well as two National awards in 2010.

NBS meets Thursdays at 4:00 pm Becker Hall, Studio B.
