Note: For a quick overview of student computing and registration services, please see our printable "Getting Started with MyClarion" brochure.

Usernames & Passwords

Upon your enrollment at the university, you will be sent a letter via postal mail that will outline your computer account names and your initial password.

As a PennWest Clarion student, you are provided with a computer account known as your MyClarion username. Your MyClarion username is listed on Computer Account Information letter; the general format s_username@pennwest.edu. You will use your MyClarion username to access computer labs, the Desire2Learn (D2L) learning management system, and the MyClarion system for registration, bills, grades, etc. Your MyClarion username always begins with s_ followed by the first initial of your first name, your middle initial (if provided), and your last name. All characters are in lower case. There is a maximum of twelve characters in the username. Example: s_jlsmith. If two people have the same name and initials, a number is added at the end of the username (i.e. s_jlsmith1). See your Computer Account Information letter for your exact MyClarion username.

You are also provided with an Eagle Mail student e-mail account. Your Eagle Mail address is also listed on Computer Account Information letter; the general format is F.M.Lastname@eagle.clarion.edu. See your Computer Account Information letter for your exact Eagle Mail e-mail address.

Before you can use these accounts, you must complete the initialization steps outlined in the letter. The letter also contains important information about managing your passwords. The information is also available on the Computer Account Start-up Guide for New Students page.

All accounts are subject to the Clarion Acceptable Use of Technology Resources Policy.

Clarion ID

Every student is assigned a unique eight-digit Clarion ID. You will use your Clarion ID for any forms or correspondence requiring an identification number. Please review the Clarion ID page for more information.
