The Bureau of Labor Statistics is a nationally recognized source of career information. Its web site is designed to provide valuable information for individuals making career decisions. This site contains links to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, the Occupational Outlook Quarterly magazine, and BLS employment projections. Revised every two years, the Handbook describes what workers do on the job, working conditions, the training and education needed, earnings, and expected job prospects for a wide range of occupations. The BLS site also includes employment projections for occupations.

O*NET OnLine has detailed descriptions of the world of work for use by job seekers, workforce development and HR professionals, students, researchers, and more!  You can locate an occupation using a keyword, search for occupations by the knowledge, skills, or abilities required, or browse a list of occupations in a specific industry.
