As a Clarion University graduate, you will be prepared to enter a rewarding career in public relations, advertising, corporate communication, journalism or broadcast/digital media. The Department of Communication offers a B.S. in communication and an online M.S. in mass media arts and journalism, in addition to the online Graduate Certificate in public relations and a communication concentration in the online B.S. in liberal studies.
The Department of Communication provides students with broad-based communication and writing skills, along with intensive professional career preparation. You can gain hands-on experience working for media organizations including Eagle Media (CU-TV-The Nest and WCUC-FM-The Clutch) and The Clarion Call newspaper. Outside of class, network with communication professionals through national organizations including the American Advertising Federation Student Chapter, Public Relations Student Society of America, National Communication Association, and the Society for Collegiate Journalists.
The Department of Communication features a dedicated full-time faculty who focus on your success. They deliver expert instruction, backed by industry-level equipment and facilities.
