Ross Rankin & Family Graduate Scholarships

Statement of Purpose for the Awards:
Clarion University Alumni Association (CUAA) is dedicated to supporting the University community through the fostering of relationships between current and past students. The CUAA, through the Clarion University Foundation, Inc., will make available graduate scholarship money for the Spring 2018 semester. The CUAA Finance & Scholarship Committee shall determine the number of awards and the amount(s). All applicants are subject to the statements below.

Statement of Eligibility:
Ross Rankin & Family Graduate Scholarships are open to full-time and part-time graduate students who will have completed at least nine graduate credit hours at Clarion University prior to Fall 2018. Part-time students must be enrolled when the award will be applied. Graduate students holding assistantships are also eligible.

Statement of Selection Criteria:
Students must be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Students are required to complete the application, submit a typed two-page essay addressing their statement of scholarly goals and their service to the community (university community/at large community), and provide a VITA or resume. In addition, one letter of support from a graduate faculty member in the applicant's academic area should be included with application materials. (NOTE: It is suggested that the graduate program coordinators not write letters of support).
Student will be required to give permission to scholarship committee to view financial need

The CUAA Finance & Scholarship Committee will review all qualifying applications and applicants will be informed of their decision. The actual award will be in the form of a tuition credit.

Applications must be received on or before Friday, March 2, 2018, at 4 p.m. in order to be considered. Successful candidates must complete a brief interview with the Finance and Scholarship Committee of the CUAA Board of Directors; to be scheduled after all applications have been received.

The CUAA Ross Rankin and Family Graduate Scholarships tuition credit disbursement will be managed by The Clarion University Foundation.
