Venango Campus Transition

Cultural and economic growth in Venango County will get a boost under a plan developed by the Oil Region Alliance of Business, Industry and Tourism and Pennsylvania Western University Clarion for the university’s Venango property.

Starting in fall 2024, pending approval by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, the Associate of Science in Nursing will relocate to the Clarion campus.

Frame Hall Administration Building houses administrative offices, a number of faculty offices, science laboratories, classrooms, and a 12-seat student computer lab. Administrative offices located in Frame include the main Administrative Office, Admissions & Financial Aid, Continuing Education, and Marketing and Communications. The Registrar's Office and Student Accounts are represented by the Administrative Office.

Montgomery Hall is home to the Department of Nursing, as well as other faculty offices, student support services including the campus' Academic Resource Center and Career Center, and classrooms. The campus' computer teaching lab is located in 311 Montgomery Hall.

Robert W. Rhoades Center houses the campus bookstore, campus dining services, fully equipped fitness center, student lounge areas, the campus auditorium and gymnasium, and Student Affairs offices, including Intramurals and Recreation and Student Senate.

Charles L. Suhr Library houses the campus library collection as well as four faculty offices. A number of computers are available for public/campus use. The Barbara Morgan Harvey Center for the Study of Oil Heritage is located within Suhr Library.

Elizabeth S. Black Hall, Edward V. and Jessie L. Peters Hall, Michael F. and Joyce I. Hughes Hall, Leadership Hall, and Bradford George Carmack Barnes Hall, located across the street from campus, provide modern student apartment housing.
