April 3, 2019

aacsbClarion University College of Business Administration and Information Sciences has earned reaccreditation by AACSB International —The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

For over a century, AACSB Accreditation has been synonymous with the highest standards in business education. Accredited schools have successfully undergone a rigorous review process conducted by their peers in the business education community, ensuring that they have the resources, credentials, and commitment needed to provide students with a first-rate, future-focused business education.

AACSB assesses the quality of faculty, how the college's mission guides curriculum decisions, the impact the business program has on students and on the region, and business education overall. Since 1998, COBAIS has maintained the accreditation.

"The accreditation keeps us in top 10 percent of business programs in the world," said Dr. Dave Hartley, assistant dean of COBAIS. "It allows us to bring in high quality faculty that enhance the quality of classroom instruction, ultimately enhancing graduates and contributing to our better than 90 percent employment rate at graduation."

"Our business programs focus on global leadership, entrepreneurship, and developing the skills our students need for employment and/or for graduate school," said Dr. Phil Frese, COBAIS dean. "More than 90 percent of our faculty have work experience in the areas in which they teach. Our faculty share their knowledge and experience with our students, giving them the tools employers are requiring."

"We are constantly receiving feedback from businesses on what knowledge and skills they are looking for in their employees," Hartley said. "The curriculum is a living document, and our excellent faculty work in conjunction with the industry leaders on our advisory committee to ensure that it continues to prepare our students for the future job market."
