Stephani Sprankle | Clerical Typist

Stephanie is one of the receptionists that you will see upon entering the Center for Wellness at PennWest Clarion.
Her goal is to make you feel welcome, safe and comfortable when entering the Center for Wellness. She is here for you, the students and loves being a teammate to the wonderful and caring staff!
She is the mother of three girls who are involved in many activities which keep Stephani moving!

Jennifer Barch | Counseling Services Clinical Supervisor

Jennifer started at PennWest Clarion as the Clinical Supervisor of Counseling services in the fall of 2012.  She obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in education from Edinboro University of PA followed by a  Master of Arts (MA) degree in Community Counseling from Indiana University of PA.  Jennifer obtained a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Duquesne University in 2011.  Her areas of interest include young adult development and adult career development, mindfulness.  Her areas of clinical expertise are threatening anxiety, depression, healing from trauma, and relationships.

Jessica Cosby | Counselor

Jessica started as a counselor in the Center for Wellness on the Clarion campus in Spring 2023. Jessica earned her MA in Community Counseling from Slippery Rock University and earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Jessica has a specialization in play therapy and professional areas of interest including adverse childhood experiences, trauma, and attachment.

Briana Steele | Counselor

Briana started in the Center for Wellness on the Clarion campus in 2016 after serving as the Counselor at the Venango Campus for three previous years. She received her MA in Counseling from Slippery Rock University and is currently working toward her PsyD in Counseling Psychology from Carlow University. Her areas of interest include identity development, transitions, relationships, career concerns, and eating disorders.

Meredith Karg | Student Support Assistant

Meredith joined the Center for Wellness staff in February of 2018. She is a Clarion Alum, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies. In 2009, she earned her Masters of Education in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel from Kent State University. Prior to her employment at Clarion, Meredith worked as a Case Manager in the field of drug & alcohol for 7 years. She approaches Case Management from a goal oriented focus and enjoys working with students to aid in developing & growing their decision making and goal setting skills. Additional interests include teaching professional development and community relations. Meredith resides in the area with her husband (also a Clarion Alum!) and their 3 children.
