Our staff can provide tours of the facility and let you know what we offer. Please feel free to stop by the front desk at anytime with questions, comments or concerns. You may also contact Kristian Taylor, Director of Campus Recreation, at ktaylor@clarion.edu with any specific questions.

We encourage you to review the information below to see what we offer and how we can provide for your fitness needs! Come visit and enjoy your workout!

what we offer

Lounge Area/Lockers: Our lounge area sits directly behind the front desk in the SRC. We offer nice seating areas to relax in or get some homework done. We provide wooden cubbies to store any loose items in or have small coin-operated lockers to store your more valuable items. Students and guests may also enjoy a game of ping pong on our brand new table tennis table!

Locker Rooms: We offer men's and women's locker rooms located on the 2nd floor equipped with showers and lockers. You may bring your own lock or check one out at the front desk. Remember- we're not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please lock your belongings up at all times!

Weight Room: Our 4800 square foot weight room is fully equipped with free weights, dumbbells, plate loaded, and variable resistance machines to cover all of your fitness/training needs! Dumbbells range from 2.5 to 100 pounds with 10+ benches and a rack of plate loaded straight bars to compliment the free weight area. You can also work out using our 50+ pieces of Cybex machines to get that well-rounded workout!

Cardiovascular Area: The upper 1200 square foot cardio area overlooks three multi-purpose courts and the weight room also offering great views to the outside. This area has stretching machines and over 30 pieces of cardio equipment. Sweat it out on one of our ellipticals, arc trainers, treadmills, steppers, bikes, and more! The area provides four HD flat screen TV's and several machines have their own personal viewing screens for your entertainment needs.

The SRC also offers a 4-lane track wrapping around our multi-purpose courts. The track is 1/8 mile (8 laps equals 1 mile) and is a great way to mix up your workout or get a nice run during the winter months!

Group Fitness:  The aerobics program offers several classes dependent on available student instructors. General classes offered are: Strength Training, Interval Strength Training, Cardio HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), Step/Ab & Core Interval, Rope & Core Training, Mixed Martial Arts, Muay Tai, Step & Kickboxing, Zumba and Yoga. We're looking for enthusiastic student instructors! Gym Courts: The SRC offers three full sized multi-purpose gym courts. The newly laid hardwood is perfect for hooping it up with some pick-up basketball games or enjoying volleyball, tennis, indoor soccer, aerobics, badminton, indoor soccer, and more! Need a net set up? Simply ask our staff at the front desk. Remember- everyone gets to play! If others are waiting there is a 1 hour time limit per court.

Indoor Climbing Wall: Looking for something different? Try our 32 x 25 foot high climbing wall with seven climbing stations! The stations range from easy to hard climbs with challenging bouldering routes. Shoes, harnesses and helmets are available. If you've never climbed before simply stop by the rock wall and ask our staff how you can begin. Our experienced staff will orient you to the wall, explain the policies and procedures and help you begin your first climb! Please Note: the climbing wall is open Mon-Thur 7-11pm, Friday 7-10pm and Saturday/Sunday 6-9pm.
