Individual Hall Councils

Hall Councils are located in every property area within on campus suites and are the governing body for that building/area. Hall Council works closely with the Area Coordinators and the Assistant Director of Residence Life.

Hall Councils are supported by the residents that live within that particular residence hall.  There are executive board positions (President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary) for every Hall Council that offers leadership and opportunities for residents to get involved.  Hall Councils provide the opportunity to create programs to benefit the building/area as a whole and take input from residents regarding their communities.  Is it also a way to meet other students in the residence hall and develop leadership skills.

Keep an eye out or ask your CA for meetings and programs are taking place within your property sponsored by Hall Council.

North Hall Council Meets Wednesdays at 8:15pm on the ground floor study lounge

interhall council (IHC)

IHC is the advisory group that Residence Life Services uses to assist in decision making on policy issues, housing improvements, and student needs specifically for Residence Life but also in giving feedback to the Campus as a whole.

This organization also plans campus programs throughout the year.  A popular sponsored Interhall Council program is Clarion's Got Talent as well as the Care Packages.

IHC meets every week.  The weekly meeting schedule is determined by the Executive Board each semester.  IHC will post advertisements in your housing locations about upcoming meeting and programming.

National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH)

The National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is the premiere honorary supported by the leading international organization advocating for the interests and welfare of residence hall students, while also providing opportunities for their personal growth and development. NRHH strives to provide recognition for individuals who have contributed to the advancement of college and university housing. It ensures the advancement of member chapters through resource sharing, programming, and leadership development opportunities to contribute and support the vision of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls, Incorporated.

NRHH has a very special way of recognizing those top leaders, by membership. The NRHH chapter membership (per school) is restricted to 1% of students living in the residence halls. So, once inducted into NRHH you can consider yourself a member of the Top 1% of residence hall leaders. The NRHH national level consists of the national office. The National Office is responsible for affiliating NRHH chapters, selecting national OTM (Of the Months), designing the apparel line (T-shirts, Sweatshirts, and pins) and a host of other tasks.

To be a member of NRHH, you must be a resident of Reinhard Villages or any of the four suites (Suites on Main South, Suites on Main North, Valley View, or Campus View) and have a QPA of at least a 2.5 or higher.

Have questions? Want to join us and make a difference? Email the Executive Board at NRHH@clarion.edu for more information.
