who is Generation z?

Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education has turned their attention to the new generation of students arriving on our campuses.  During the Summer of 2018, a detailed presentation about this generation was shared with the PA Council of Trustees. This session was led by Zach Clark, Dr. Kathleen Howley, and Brian Swatt.  Their presentation can be viewed here.

Pennsylvania State System Student Affairs Conference Schedule

Wednesday, May 15 - Check-in from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm. State level meetings throughout the afternoon
Thursday, May 16 - Full day of programming starting at 9:00 am with keynote speaker and evening banquet
Friday, May 17 - Half day extended-trainings and certifications

We are excited about this year’s conference theme “Soaring into Gen Z and beyond” because it provides the perfect opportunity to reflect on our past work as professionals in Student Affairs while also looking to the future in order to transform our services as we see the next generations of students arrive on our campuses.  We want to help student affairs professionals examine the foundational characteristics that are unique to the Gen Z generation to help inform our work with students into the future as we provide access to high-value, relevant educational experiences.

Proposals for sessions will begin November 2018. We encourage you to start thinking about what you would like to present this summer to have your proposal ready. We invite you to submit content-rich sessions as an individual or team to share your unique knowledge, experiences, and ideas.
