The Center for First Year Experience and Clarion University welcome you as a new CU parent.
We recognize the important contributions that you play in your student's academic and social success. We want to work with you as you provide support for your student throughout this exciting first year at Clarion! Below you will find information to help you become a partner in your student's successful transition from high school to Clarion University.
Checklists for First Year Parents and Families: Each semester, the Center for First Year Experience will share a checklist for Parents and Families. The Fall 2017 checklist is available here.
How to Help Your Student Succeed - This document includes tips from parents who have already gone through the first year with their students.
Newsletter: This monthly e-newsletter, Eagle Parent News, gives first year parents and families timely information that you need to know. In it, you will find articles about events on campus and what is impacting your student's life. The newsletter is sent via e-mail only. The first edition of Eagle Parent News can be opened here. Student Modules: In order to help first-year students prepare for their first semester at Clarion, the Center for First Year Experience has created modules on six topics. Students will access these modules via their D2L. We have included the content of those modules here for parent access.
