Leadership and Community Service
The Center for Leadership and Involvement offers a wide range of programs and activities to support leadership development and civic engagement. There are opportunities for students, staff, faculty, and community members, and new programs are always in the works.
Leadership Programs at Clarion University challenge students to increase their knowledge and contribute and support positive change in their environments.
Leadership programs available through our area include:
- Advisory Board for Leadership and Engagement (ABLE)
- Leaders In Action Conference
- Low Ropes Challenge Course
- Mary Walter Lecture Series
- National Leadership Conference
Community service is the ultimate way to tie together the various pieces of your time at Clarion. Students who participate in service make connections between their classes and real life. They use what they learn to do what needs done in ways they love.
Service happens year-round, from right here on campus to points all over the world, Golden Eagles help people and the planet everywhere they go. This semester, members of the community and students will work together on many programs, projects and problems. Service programs happening this semester include:
- 9/11 Remembrance and Patriot Day Program
- Come Together Clarion
- Community Service Days
- Grow Clarion
- Kids at Heart Programs
- Service Trips
- Service Summit
- Shovel Brigade

Summer Leadership Programs.
There are leadership and service programs to fit all kinds of interests and needs. Students can identify and design their own experience in these areas, and participate as little or as much as they like. Choose an hour or a whole semester, as long as you choose to participate!
