who is Generation z?

Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education has turned their attention to the new generation of students arriving on our campuses.  During the Summer of 2018, a detailed presentation about this generation was shared with the PA Council of Trustees. This session was led by Zach Clark, Dr. Kathleen Howley, and Brian Swatt.  Their presentation can be viewed here.

Extended Trainings

Option 1:  CPR (4 hours) This option will offer the American Heart Association’s Heartsaver CPR and AED training.

Option 2:  QPRLed by a PhD counselor, this Gatekeeper Training is a 2 hour educational program designed to teach how to respond to a suicide crisis.

Option 3: Igniting Change: Rising to the Challenge of Uncomfortable Conversations.

The challenge is lack of professional competency on how to start the courageous, confident conversation about topics of race, sexuality, etc. These conversations are challenging because they are often emotionally driven and participants are deeply aware of the negative personal and professional consequences that can come with saying the “wrong” thing. This workshop will be an open dialogue that models how to have a productive conversation about uncomfortable topics by removing the common barriers that prohibit honest conversations.
