Spring 2013 Emerging Leader Program applications are now being accepted!
The Emerging Leader Program gives first year students the opportunity to learn about, use, and reflect on leadership skills and issues. Emerging Leaders examine leadership on multiple levels, from individual/personal to societal and global, while making connections to their own beliefs and interests. They work in a variety of large and small group settings in addition to individual activities.
The program begins with a three day retreat focused on personal exploration and team building. Throughout the semester sessions will be held on Monday evenings, with activities and presentations involving various members of the campus community. Emerging Leaders will also work on group projects and participate in community service. They will create personal leadership plans that highlight leadership experiences they will participate in and create for others while they are at Clarion.
Students must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be able to attend all sessions of the program in order to qualify. Applications are available at the Gemmell Information Desk in the Center for Leadership & Involvement, and can be downloaded from the Emerging Leader Application link on the right side of this page.
If you would like to apply, please complete the application and submit to Ms. Greta Lutz, 251 Gemmell Student Complex by November 30, 2012.
