Matt Croyle (filmmaker)

Film director and writer Matt Croyle (’00), a Clarion University alumnus, will lecture at 6:30 p.m. April 9 in Hart Chapel. Croyle will discuss his current project, "Potential Inertia," a film set entirely in western Pennsylvania, as well as his process and philosophies on filmmaking. Admission is free.  Croyle, an accomplished playwright and screenwriter, director, graphic designer, disc jockey and an award-nominated actor, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in speech communication and theater with post-baccalaureate studies in English from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. While at Clarion, Croyle was a member of Alpha Psi Omega, the national honorary dramatics fraternity. Also, he was nominated for a Kennedy Center / ACTF Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship for his portrayal of Orphan in Clarion's production of Jones and Schmidt's “Celebration.”
