Dr. Vasudeva Rao Aravind, assistant professor, Clarion University Department of Physics, presented a poster at the American Association of Physics Teachers meeting held Jan. 5-9 in New Orleans.
The title of Aravind’s poster was “Using Instructional Videos in Introductory Physics.” The use of videos on websites such as YouTube have revolutionized commerce and industry in the last decade. Educators have also found this a very useful tool in propagating knowledge. In this presentation, Aravind used screencasted instructional videos for introductory physics classes, using Camtasia software. Data analytics performed on these videos showed that these videos were useful not only to students enrolled in the class, but also to many others in different parts of the World.
