Clarion University confers nearly 1,000 degrees

Clarion University of Pennsylvania conferred 984 academic degrees during commencement ceremonies Friday and Saturday.

Dr. Raymond Feroz, chair of the Department of Human Services, Rehabilitation, Health and Sport Sciences, was keynote speaker at Friday’s Clarion University – Venango ceremonies.

On the Clarion campus, Brandon Packard, assistant professor of computer information sciences, was keynote speaker for the 10 a.m. Saturday ceremony for graduates of the College of Business Administration and Information Sciences. Nursing department chair Dr. Deborah Kelly addressed the 1 p.m. graduates of the College of Education, Health and Human Services, and English professor Ralph Leary addressed the 4 p.m. graduates of the College of Arts, Education and Sciences.

Of the nearly 1,000 degrees, nine were doctoral, 245 were master’s, 632 were bachelor’s and 98 were associate.
