The Associate of Science in Nursing program is designed to prepare technical nurses to provide client-centered care. You will be trained to work within structured settings and with other members of the health care team. The program provides educational experiences to promote scientific inquiry, creative thinking, critical judgment and self-evaluation. The two-year associate degree provides the graduate with a foundation for further study at the baccalaureate level. Upon completion of the program, the graduate is eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination to become a registered nurse. Upon successful completion of the licensure exam, students can begin working as a registered nurse. Most of the A.S.N. graduates obtain employment and continue in the online RN-BSN program around work and family obligations and are able to secure financial assistance through tuition reimbursement through their employers.
