Our Undecided programs allow you to explore the arts and sciences, education, business and health science fields before you settle on a major. It is important to note that entering into an Undecided path does not lead to a degree. You must officially declare a major and achieve program and commonwealth requirements to obtain a degree. These Undecided options allow you to explore an area of study and then select a major based on the skills and interests you discover in the process.

Students in these Undecided areas focus on general education curriculum and work with Career Services to help them pick a major. Students also may work with specialized software to help them narrow their focus based on their skills and interests.

The Undecided in the area of education and Undecided in the area of secondary education options allow students to become acquainted with an area of education, while taking general education classes. Once students learn their strengths, it enables them to narrow their focus to not only education but one of many grade levels and teaching specialties that Clarion University provides.
Students who want to be a business major, but are unsure if they will choose to major in accounting, economics, finance, human resource management, management, marketing or real estate choose:
The Undecided Business path offers students the opportunity to lay the groundwork for a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree without committing to a major for two years. Undecided business students are assigned a faculty advisor who provides information about requirements for all majors, assists in scheduling functions and offers personalized scholastic advice.
Students who want to be a health major, choose:
The Undecided in the area of health sciences option allows students to become acquainted with the health fields while taking general education classes. Once students learn their strengths and interests, it enables them to narrow their focus to a specific area such as allied health, communication science and disorders, human services, rehabilitation, sport sciences, or nursing.
