WEDnetPA and Apprenticeship
CREATING PARTNERSHIPS THAT HELP the region
Clarion University's Career & Workforce Education is dedicated to developing meaningful partnerships with employers, workforce and economic development agencies, and training providers from Northeast Pennsylvania, and beyond. Our partnerships give employees the opportunity to further their education, and close the growing skills gap in our region.
Workforce development is now considered to be more than a single program or initiative. It is an interconnected set of solutions to meet employment needs: It prepares workers with needed skills, emphasizes the value of workplace learning and addresses the hiring demands of employers from the outset.
The Keystone Community Education Council (KCEC) has teamed up with Clarion University and the American Injection Molding (AIM) Institute to help bridge the skills gap in Northwestern Pennsylvania’s manufacturing workforce.
Pennsylvania offers qualified employers the opportunity to train new and existing employees through WEDnetPA. The progressive training program, funded by the Department of Community and Economic Development, provides qualified companies with money for training in a wide range of essential skills and high-tech topics.
