Clarion University Department of English has named its English Major of the Month awards for fall 2013.

Cayleigh Boniger, Lake City, is a daughter of Brenda Anderson and James Boniger. She is a junior English major who would like to attend graduate school abroad, with particular interest in the United Kingdom. She plans to become an editor with a publishing house, and a novelist/poet.
October
Derek Dietz, Butler, is a son of Timothy and Mary Kay Dietz. He is a junior secondary education/English major who plans to attend graduate school to continue pursuing a career in English education.
November
Sloan Sample, Lanse, is a daughter of Mark and Deb Rendulic. She is a junior secondary education/English major who plans to move south to work as a teacher. Eventually she hopes to acquire her principal’s certificate and become a school administrator.
December 2013
Olivia Ambrose, Coopersburg, is a daughter of Jeff and Sharon Ambrose. She is a senior English major who plans to attend graduate school for library science.
