Clarion recognized for its online education for working adults

March 16, 2021

Abound recognitionClarion University has been recognized by Abound for its 2021 Top Adult Degree Programs.

Abound recognizes schools by state or commonwealth and Clarion is one of six schools from the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education to be recognized.

Abound seeks to recognize programs that have "not only have been accredited, but they have also undergone additional, thorough vetting for a supportive student experience. Their programs can be completed online, meaning students can log in and learn whenever and from wherever. Most are taught by the same faculty who teach on-campus classes to maintain the high quality education for students across the country. And while students might not step foot on campus, they are nevertheless given the guidance, resources, and services they need to succeed both academically and professionally."

Abound shuns the idea of rankings believing that numerical rankings "contribute to the false narrative that schools can be stacked up against each other and equally considered the 'best' or 'worst' for everyone in the same way."

"Abound does not rank our schools; rather, we measure them based on a rigorous review of their qualities as individual institutions. The schools in our cohort are those that we found to excel in what they do best with the understanding that every non-traditional student will have different needs. It's not about finding the "best" school—it's about finding the best fit, the one that will help them achieve their personal goals," Abound stated on its website.
