U.S. News & World Report honors Clarion with five best rankings

January 25, 2022

Clarion University is ranked best in five categories by U.S. News & World Report.

The rankings for 2022 include:

  • Best Online Master's in Nursing Programs, 46
  • Best Online Bachelor's Programs, 47
  • Best Online Master's in Business Programs (Non-MBA), 71
  • Best Online Master's in Education Programs, 80
  • Best Online MBA Programs, 115

USNWR looked at engagement, expert opinions, faculty credentials and trainings, student services and technologies, and in some instances, student excellence to determine the rankings. USNWR has been publishing school rankings in the education sector since 1983 and has done so specifically for online degree programs since 2013.

"Our students and faculty once again excel to achieve high rankings for our online programs. The students' commitment to the pursuit of their educational goals and the faculty's commitment to upskilling their credentials and training never waivers and is not at all surprising to me," said Lynne Lander-Fleisher, director of Clarion Online.

Clarion University offers 14 online bachelor's degrees, which are continually recognized for excellence.

The Family Nurse Practitioner concentration (CU's master's in nursing program) prepares nurses to be primary care providers in settings such as community health centers, clinics and private practices.

Clarion's M.S. in accounting degree (CU's non-MBA master's in business program) prepares students for careers in corporate and public accounting, as well as satisfying the education requirements to sit for the CPA exam in almost any state. Clarion's online MBA offers an accredited option in a general MBA or in three other specific areas including accounting, finance and healthcare.

The master's in education offers concentrations in curriculum, instruction and teacher leadership; early childhood; mathematics; reading with or without a reading specialist certification; science; and technology.
