voice mail to e-mail notification options

Our Avaya IP Office Voice Mail system includes an option feature to send voice mail notifications to your e-mail account.  To manage this feature, complete the following steps from your Avaya IP Office phone set:

1. Select the Visual Voice Mail Button 
2. Enter your voice mail pass code, press the "Done" soft menu key
3. Scroll Down to the Email option.  
   • By default, this feature is "Off".  Press the "Change" soft menu key to select one of the following options, then press the "Save" soft menu key:
     • Copy: The E-mail Mode Copy option will send a copy of new voicemail messages to your email address, leaving the original message in your voice mailbox.   Note that the forwarded messages are in the form of a "wave file" attachment that you listen to from your e-mail client.

     • Forward:  The E-mail Mode Forward option will forward new voicemail messages to your email address, deleting the original message from your voice mailbox.  Note that the forwarded messages are in the form of a "wave file" attachment that you listen to from your e-mail client.

     •  Alert:  The E-mail Mode Alert option will send an alert email message to your email address, leaving the original message in your voice mailbox.
