Nursing provides many employment opportunities for a bright future. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics notes employment of registered nurses is projected to grow 7 percent from 2019 to 2029, faster than the average for all occupations.

According to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, nursing is the nation's largest health profession with more than 3.8 million jobs nationwide. In fact, nurses are the largest single component of hospital staffs.

Our degree ladder approach allows you to start and/or continue your nursing career from the associate degree level through the doctorate level. The nursing faculty consists of experienced educators with expertise in many nursing specialties and share those experiences with you in the classroom.

PennWest Clarion now offers the Opioid Treatment Specialist Certificate, which can serve as an appropriate complement to any nursing degree and enhance a student's job prospects upon graduation. The Opioid Treatment Specialist Certificate aims to address the growing opioid epidemic.
