Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Fitness

The Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Fitness focuses on nutrition, physiology, and the numerous connections to health, wellness, fitness, and sport.
This major prepares students for employment in clinical, commercial fitness, strength and conditioning, cardiac rehabilitation, exercise physiology, and corporate or community-based wellness and fitness professions.

The Nutrition and Fitness program prepares graduates to sit for certification examinations offered by professional organizations including:


Employment of Fitness & Wellness coordinators
    • 12,200 job openings in 2012-2022 (Bright Outlook Occupation - O*Net online)
    • Median wage:  $37.20 hourly; $77,380 annually
    • Fitness professionals & nutritionists  are both High Priority Occupations in PA
